Today, I left from DIA about 7:25AM to come to Arlington for the Young Americans for Liberty (YAL) Convention taking place this week. It is going to be absolutely great to meet with liberty-minded students from around the country!
I told the TSA people that I did NOT want to go into the high-powered scanner and waited almost 10 minutes while a female TSA agent was found to do the “pat-down”. In the heat of the moment of having every piece of me groped, I started to cry. It is really quite sad that we are at this point of having to do this type of thing to our own citizens. If you take some time to watch everyone, as people go through those scanners that can see a everything or having someone feel you up (and granted some of the agents doing this have no ill-intent at all, this is their job), you may just find a place in your heart that feels like perhaps this is not necessary. Maybe even wrong.
We all do what we have to do to “get by” and to “survive”, however, our founding fathers, and the men and women who have fought, worked so hard, and died for this FREE country, would slap us upside the head. Look around you.
To the week!
