The Good American Post – Publisher Statement

My name is Tisha T. Casida, and I love my country.  The gloves are off, and fear is subsided by the absolute knowledge that if people like you and me don’t stand up, our country is in trouble.

I believe in the free-market.  I believe in consumers and their power to gather information, and their power to make educated decisions for themselves about what they want and when they want it – whether it is the food they consume, the health-care they partake in, or the way they protect themselves.  I believe that individuals are born with natural rights and freedoms.  I believe that citizens of the United States of America are guaranteed certain rights by the Bill of Rights; and I believe that these rights should not be manipulated or misconstrued by the actions of people in positions of power who have been elected to serve the American people.

I realize that I am a part of a generation that did not pay enough attention to what our elected officials had been doing, and I take responsibility for my mistakes.  I intend to make up for inactivity, and I intend to be a part of educating more people so that we can get consensus and get our republic back.

I believe in God and that our country was built upon a framework that gives credence to that.  I don’t care what anyone else believes in or how he or she exercises their beliefs as long as it does not infringe upon anyone else’s life or liberty.

I believe in “saving the environment”.  I am a product of many chemicals that have been put in our soil, air and water – I will have life-long consequences because of these chemicals that I have been exposed to.  I don’t want my country’s children exposed to the dangerous toxins in the soil where we grow our food, in the water that fills our lakes, streams, and rivers, or in the air that we breathe.  On this same note, I want people (consumers) and the free-market to fix this.

I believe in capitalism and limited taxes that do not punish people for making money.  I do not believe in the federal income tax or the actions of the Federal Reserve upon the American people.

There is a place for government.  It is there to protect the Constitution and our Bill of Rights.  It is there to enforce a foreign policy that protects the American people.

I do not claim know everything.  I do profess that I will make mistakes.  As a citizen of this country, a small-business owner, and a student, I will continue to learn more about the issues that we face every day and do everything in my power to make a positive difference in the community and society in which I live.  I am a good American, and I stand up for liberty.
