I was frustrated after our privately-run farmers’ market faced rules, fees, and licenses that were different than the taxpayer-subsidized market. Several of my clients hit new levels of stress after they faced rules, regulations, and fees that nearly stopped them from attempting to open up a new business.
And this, where someone is just trying to follow the “law” and register the vehicle with the State – is a fine example of everything that is wrong with government today. Government – and public servants who are employees of the government – are supposed to serve and protect the people – and instead, they are using us to generate revenue for boondoggle projects (not to mention complete waste and corruption) that do nothing to actually benefit the people who need it most.
This is why I am running for office – because there is no excuse for this waste of time and money – this is at the State level and we will continue to verify the source – but it should be an eye-opener and encourage others to share their frustration with issues like these.
