Casida Goes to Eagle County for a “Meet the Candidate Town Hall” in Avon
(Avon, CO) Tisha Casida, Independent candidate for the 3rd Congressional District of Colorado, will travel to Eagle County on February 25th to discuss her platform and the national issues that are affecting us locally. She will speak regarding the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), The Federal Reserve, the importance of the Tenth Amendment as it relates to our ability to nullify unconstitutional legislation and enact our own safeguards for currency and wealth, as well as other issues that constituents want to discuss.
As a registered unaffiliated voter, Ms. Casida reflects a wide range of interests from fiscal conservatism and fidelity to the Constitution to a “hands off” philosophy regarding governmental intrusion on social and personal issues. “As part of the generation now inflicted with massive debt,” Casida states that she is running “because I have seen and felt the economic consequences of out-of-control spending and fiscal irresponsibility.” She sees the federal government as having “lost its way” and representatives more concerned with “representing D.C. special interests rather than their own states and districts.”
“I am running for Colorado’s third congressional district, not for the power hungry politicians in D.C. – I am running for the small business owners, the families, the grandparents and the youth of this district. I want to bring jobs, prosperity, and a bright future for Colorado.”
All citizens and constituents are invited to come and participate at the event – held in Avon on Saturday, February 25th at Loaded Joe’s Coffeehouse (82 E Beaver Creek Blvd., Suite 104, Avon, CO 81620) from 10:00AM until Noon.
Casida says, “We need to work at local levels to empower people to protect each other – economically and socially – that is our greatest strength and our greatest means of creating a better quality of life for all of us.”
Casida, a small business owner, was inspired to run as an Independent in the third congressional district after seeing the events of the 2010 election as well as her own encounters with local, state, and federal government.
